What helps most

A frost date that looks wrong for your town. Send the city, the date on our page and what you see locally. Each date is a 1991–2020 average from the NOAA station nearest the city, so one cold spring can land weeks away from it. If that station sits far from you or at a very different elevation, say so and we will look at the match.

A planting window that does not fit your garden. Name the crop and the city, and if your state extension service gives other dates, send the link.

A missing city. We list places with at least 20,000 residents and a NOAA station within 30 km, so smaller towns are not listed yet. Until then the nearest listed city is usually a fair guide.

Using the data

For reusing the dates, partnerships or anything about how the site works, the same address is fine.
