Questions
When should I plant celery in California?
In San Jose, plant out from January 9 to January 16. Across California the window opens between January 8 and January 7, depending on the local last frost.
How is this date worked out?
Start seeds indoors 10–12 weeks before the last frost; plant out 1–2 weeks after the last frost. Frost dates are NOAA 1991–2020 averages for the weather station nearest each city.
